Is that your pool? It's gorgeous!!! I love glass tile- and I've visited lightstreams website before just drooling!
Very nice!

Yes, and I should have added that the staff at Lightstreams was super nice to deal with. I ordered at the outset of planning, and received my ordered in about 2-3 weeks, safely packed for shipping. My PB and his tile guy said it was easy to work with. Lightstreams gives explicit directions for mastic, etc. I love looking at it - really fascinating to watch the play of light on the glass!

The tiles on your steps are so cool! What are they called? Were they expensive? I've never seen anything like them!

RE: Lightstreams glass tile

I just received our lightstreams glass tile - we got the shell beach like you have to go around our sun deck and then we are doing the Aegean Sea Diamonds for all of our step and bench markers. They are AMAZING! Even better than I had expected. I agree that they are super nice to work with. The desinger/creator even emailed me on Saturday to let me know they had shipped. I changed to these at the last minute and ordered them on Thursday night and had them in my hands last night (Tuesday)! They are a little bit pricey, but not too bad and well worth the extra cash. Did you see the link to a company that makes mosaics out of the lightstreams glass? I wish I had seen them sooner!

Thank you for your compliments! The pebble is indeed Sandy Beach and I like the way it sets off the glass. I had thought a dark or bluish pebble might not allow the contrast to show up. If I had a "wish I could have", I would have love to use the Lightstreams glass tiles for the water line. I also love the play of light when the color changing LED is on a roll!

I checked out the Lightstreams glass tile website and they have your pool featured on their website for the Shell Beach tiles. Again, they are just beautiful! Congratulations!

Your pool is beautiful. What tile did you use at the waterline?

RE: Lightstreams glass tile

Dear chalex: I have the tile box in my garage. Give me a day to find it, and I will reply! Thankx for the compliment!

Chalex< The tile line is by MasterTile, a line called Reflections, and the color is Bahama Blue, MASRE 341.
The other colors in the line vary from cobalt, teal, sky blues. High glaze, sort of mottled and "underwater" appearance. They have pictures of the line at mastertile.net, and color looks true to me.

RE: Lightstreams glass tile

what is the typical cost of the lightstream tile per foot?

RE: Lightstreams glass tile

I would suggest you call their sales rep, Suzanne, at (650)
966-8375 or e-mail to Sales@LightstreamsGlassTile.com
She's very pleasant, and there are several different types available. My memory is something like $20-30 per foot, but don't hold me to that. They will also do samples.
