any automatic pool cleaning system without vacuum hoses?

just wondering if there are any alternatives to the typical vacuum hose type cleaners seen in most pools. i just find these unattractive to look at.

I just asked this same question on the discussions side of this forum. Maybe we will get some answers there. I know there are alot of them out there that are not worth a darn.

We have a Jandy RayVac. There are no vacuum hoses; however, there is connection in the side of the pool that propels it with water pressure coming from a seperate valve by the pump.

Debris is picked up into a chamber in the unit that would be cleaned out with each use.

I have the Aquabot Turbo... plugs into any outlet near your pool and drives around cleaning walls, stairs and bottom. The only line is a small sheathed power cord so not as big as a hose. Also runs independently of your system so all you need to do is empty out the catch bag... good luck
