Quick faucet question - thanks for your help

Hello,
Trying to install a vintage wide-mount faucet that I bought used, in a new sink. I don't know much about plumbing, but I'm handy and figured I'd be able to install a sink. Here's the problem (forgive my lack of plumbing language) - there is no three way spout tee that came with the faucet. So I can't attach my hot and cold water lines that run through the faucet handle pieces. I went to HD thinking it would be easy enough to just pick up a new tee, but the guy there said those normally come with the faucets themselves and they don't have any.

Is this really not a part I can easily get a replacement of? It seems common enough. Also, what exactly do you call the piece. Any advice / work arounds?

Thanks a lot for your help!
