| Hi there, I'm trying to plan my well water treatment. I have high iron at 15ppm and hardness is at 31.7ppm. I've read that anything under 3gpg doesn't necessarily require softening so I'd like to only filter the iron if possible and avoid the use of a softening system as well. One company I spoke to(waterboss) said I had to use a softener in conjunction with their iron filter as it let 10% pass through and the softener was needed to get that. Is this true of all iron filters and does anyone out there have a similar composition to mine that are using only an iron filter. Thanks |
