Question on Pex sweat fitting

Hi,
I want to convert from 1" copper to 1" pex for a water filter installation. I'd like a pex sweat connector that will slip inside a 1" copper coupler this way I don't need to buy a 10' section of 1" copper. Would a 1" male sweat fitting work?

You could order a C X 1' MPT adapter. That would fit over the 1" pipe. You could buy a 1" fitting by mph adapter and that would go inside the 1'CU coupling you want. If you need 6" of copper just stop by a plumbing shop and ask for a stub of pipe for a project you have. They may give it to you. Worth a try;)

Hi, Look into Sharkbite fittings. No heating involved.
