Without a more detailed description or more detailed pictures the softener is either leaking at...

1. from the control valve assembly... an internal problem

2. from a connection at/to the control valve assembly... brine or drain line

3. from where the control valve screws onto the resin tan which is sealed with an O-ring. The threaded part of the resin tank has been known to crack if over tightened when installed.

4. from a structural failure of the resin tank... crack or separation or de-lamination of the material.

Brand name resin tanks are warranted for 10 years if you can identify the brand and model and production date of the tank or have the receipt.

By the time you buy a new resin tank and resin and gravel and do the work (or pay someone) it's smarter to replace the softener with an industry standard model that is correctly sized for your water conditions and water use.

Look in the Yellow Pages for independent water treatment pros and get them out to give you a free quote.

Looks like both the brine line and the drain line are leaking at the control valve connections. Should be easy repairs.

Make sure that the drain line is clear all the way to drain and it should terminate in an air gap at the drain.
