So, I got my water softener almost hooked up. Did all the plumbing, such as:

-- Installed Bypass valve, and another two cut offs values that lead to the in/out lines of the water softener. This way: I can turn off water going to the water softener if I need to.

-- So, I now have:

++ Water softener with 1 inch male screw on fittings.

++ House plumbing with the same 1 inch male screw on fittings. The water softener and house fittings are seperated by about 12 inches.

***** My questions:

-- Lowes does not sell a "1 inch female to 1 inch female hose". The best they sell is a water heater 3/4 to 3/4 inch female hose. I'd rather not plumb the cpvc directly to the water softener. So, where can I get this 1 inch to 1 inch hose female from?

-- I assume that using a 1 inch hose is according to code. correct?
