| It seems our kitchen pipes were done by a do it yourselfer. I'd like to know what the correct configuration is for a double sink, with disposer, and dishwasher. I think the dishwasher is supposed to connect to the piping, before the trap? Can some one either explain it or direct me to a photo of the correct way to connect all the piping? Thanks |

| The most common configuration is: the dish washer drain line connects, first to an air gap, and then to a nipple on the disposal. The disposal drain ties in with the drain from the other sink and that common drain goes to the p-trap. There are probably several DIY books at your library that will elaborate on this and include pictures. |
