I had water timers attached to both of the outdoor faucets. They were perfectly fine until the first frost arrived about one week ago. I forgot to detach hoses or the timers from the faucets before the frost arrived. Now, water flows out violently from the connectors. The washers "look" fine, but no matter how tight I screw the nuts, the water still flows out violently from the connectors. Are the washers damaged by the frost, or are there some other things broken?
