The original builder tied the shower drain into the side of the sewer pipe for the toilet about 10' away from shower. It doesn't have enough slope (none. maybe even uphill) and causes frequent slow drains and clogs. If I cap off the shower connection and extend it about 4' the sewer goes vertical down the basement wall. Could I put a tee in there and tie the shower in there for better drain angle. without causing a problem?
