Bathroom sink faucet question

I bought a bathroom vanity with a sink included, which requires an 8" center set faucet. The problem is that I really, really prefer faucets with one lever (so much more convenient) rather than 2 handles, and there are only one or 2 that are 8" center set, and they are really meant for commercial use. At FaucetDirect there are drawings rather than photos, and I can't really picture what they look like.

Is it possible to get caps for the 2 extra holes, and use a single lever faucet? I have seen kitchen faucets with a sort of adaptor arrangement (I don't know what you call it) that covers up excess holes, but I have never seen this for bath faucets.

The faucet boring are all the same size, however, I would ask at the top vendor, faucet direct or do a search for ceramic or for the availability of color matched caps.

Yes there are single handle faucets available for your top.

What you are looking for is called a faucet escutcheon and they do make them for bathroom faucets. However, you may have to look into getting one that is made for a kitchen faucet since you have an 8" spread.
