| Hello,
Can anyone explain to me why my hot water feels greasy or oily? The cold water doesn't have this "texture," only the hot. Might it have something to do with the water heater? it's electric, by the way. Thanx |

| Could be bacteria in the water heater. http://www.hhs.state.ne.us/enh/IronSulfurBacteria.pdf Pay particular attention to the info on treating bacteria in the water heater by raising the temperature. If you choose to try raising the temp read the instructions CAREFULLY and inform EVERYONE in the home that the hot water will be scalding hot until you lower the temp setting. |
