Moving Tub Over 3" (Inches)

We're remodeling DH's bathroom and would like to knock out the (long side) wall and move the tub over 3 inches. Yes, there is room in the wall due to a mistake with the original build 33 years ago. My question...is there a "dog leg" type of drain so that we can keep the original drain location and not to have jack-hammer a new one? And if there is, is there any reason we shouldn't do it?

Remove the access cover and publish a picture.

When I was a framer, the plumber asked us to save our empty nail boxes, because when they stubbed the waste and water up for a slab pour they boxed them out with the nail box filled with dirt, which left the waste open for the tub waste and overflow to be connected.
