Blind ending trunks in PEX plumbing, problem?

Posted by drtechno (My Page) on

Quick question.

The plumbers just redid a portion of the plumbing (its all PEX) and there are now a couple 1-2 ft blind ending trunks in the plumbing (the branch point is before the end due to modification of the plumbing). Is this a problem? Won't this develop stagnant water quality issues?

Just looking for opinions from people that know more than me.

Just to clarify, the length of the "dead end" is under 2 ft (probably 1.5 ft)
