What is the diameter? Electric conduits in individual residences will not be large enough for skunks.

I don't know. I'm handicapped by the fact that I don't live there...my elderly parents called me. I want to be able to have all the right parts to block it off when I can get down there.

It's really old, so it may not have been done the way people do things today. It was designed to carry a phone line to the garage. It may or may not contain wires leading to a seldom used emergency generator in the garage.

Spray urethane foam in a can is a great way to fill up voids like that. Will seal it tight against critters and water.

Unfortunately, I do have considerable up-close-and-personal experience with skunks. Cured urethane foam is only a minor impediment to a skunk. Their claws will go through it like a backhoe through sand.

I bought a hose cap (for the faucet), a can of Great Stuff, and Duct Seal Clay. Will pack these when I visit my parents.

I'm trying to get my father to photograph the spot and email me the photo, but he is 90 so this is a non-trivial task for him.

Also debating using those wire mesh cylinders designed to block gutters as a critter-blocker or a short length of hose to direct any water that drips out the faucet out the garage door.
