Hey all. My washing machine is currently on my first floor draining out to my septic through the basement.

I want to move the washer down to my basement but I'm concerned now that the washer won't be able to push up into the drain and out.

My drain pipe has a slight pitch out to the septic as I'm sure it's supposed to. The pipe is about 6 1/2 feet off of the ground and runs horizontally from the foundation past where the washer would go. There is a screw on cap on an elbow I could undo and put on an elbow or pitch or whatever it's called but the washer hose would have to travel the length of it UP and that's what I'm concerned about...

I'm not sure if this is okay and the washer has the power to eject out or if I would need some kind of sump pump.

Apologies if this is a confusing post, I'm by no means a plumbing expert!
