Foam-core vs. solid ABS

I am remodeling a bathroom, moving toilet, shower, and sinks around... Original DWV in the house is solid-core ABS, but foam-core ABS is easier to get here(SF bay area). I assume commonly available fittings are also foam-core.

Any difference (longevity, reliability, performance, etc) between solid-core and foam-core ABS? Should I just settle for foam-core from the local HD (easy to return and relatively cheap), or seek better quality solid-core from plumbing supply houses?

ABS, PVC, ABS Foam Core are all ASTM approved. They all meet the specs. The foam core is lighter.

Be sure learn and comply with the local code(s). Your city may differ in some ways from the state code. Codes specify piping materials by the applicable standard. Here it is ASTM D 2661, ASTM F 628, CSA B181.1. Your code may differ. I do not know the code for your area and the big box stores are not good sources for code references. The standard will be printed on the pipe.
Pining must be installed with the standard labeling showing.
