Repipe with pvc or pex ?

Homes in our area are repiping overhead due to the copper lines leaking in the slab. If we have to repipe other than cost, is one product better than the other, pvc or pex ? Pros or cons of each.

I prefer PEX. You can run one long line with a fitting on each end, rather than using lots of elbows and fittings. Install is quicker and easier with fewer opportunity to create leaks.
