Kitchen Sink Spilling onto basement floor

Posted by sellerinm (My Page) on

My kitchen sink drain is overflowing onto the floor downstairs via the drain pipe that the water softner tube goes into, it cant handle even 1/2 full sink being drained down.
All pipes are clear, 2 inch, the vent pipe to the washer & drain is tied in next to it, & goes right into the floor.
No problems of backup with washer running & draining.
The "side" pipe off the kitchen sink drain that the watersoftner goes into is 2ft. 4" off the floor, the vent pipe tied into both of them goes straight to the roof.
Any ideas on this one?
