Hello,
I will have my home re-piped in January 2015. This is the second time I have had this done. The first time was in August 1996. The pvc pipe is now very brittle and shatters when barely touched.

The plumber mentioned a coil of piping that would be placed in the attic, and the temperature in the attic would heat the water and help with electricity costs. Does anyone know anything about this or know any pros/cons with this? I did an internet search and didn't come up with anything about it.

Also, while I am having the work done, is there anything I might consider adding? I was thinking about adding another outside spigot on the side of the house. (There is already one in the front and one in the back.)
