FIRST, look at your parts kit and make sure the Allen screw is stanrd thread. That is leftty loosy and righty tighty.

SECOND, make absolutely sure you have the right Allen wrench... metric or SAE. Make sure the Allen wrench fits the screw SNUG.Allen wrenches included in kits or sold as sets for cheap are often low quality and will deform themselves and the Allen screw you're trying to remove.

You will not break off the Allen wrench in the screw but you will strip the wrench and the screw. Strip out the Allen screw and you have more serious problems that will require drilling and screw extractors so be careful.

Get some stuff called PB Blaster and spray on the Allen screw and let it soak. Repeat quite a few times and let it soak for quite a while. Overnight is OK.
