Delta Tub Faucet Leak

Posted by grandmum (My Page) on

Hi
I have an older Delta Single Handle bathtub facuet that is leaking. There is no model number on it I can see. Are there universal kits made to replace seats and springs etc? Or do I need to know exact model?

I see conflicting info online about cartridge replacement vs. springs and seats? How would you go about this repair?

If its any help, its a Delta single handle with a red button to let the handle go to higher temp... I assume thats scald guard? In any case, I cant afford to pay for a plumber, any help is greatly apreciated.

Delta customer service may send you free replacement parts. Describe to them and they'll know the model:

They were of no help, they said its probably 25+ years old and they couldnt identify.

Take it apart and take the insides to a Plumbing Supply House and they can match it up with a replacement.
