Noisy water rushing sound from PRV area

We moved into a new house last fall and immediately noticed that the plumbing is very loud when water is running.

The PRV is located in a basement bedroom on the front left side of the house. This bedroom is underneath the master closet and the PRV is in a drywall box where the wall meets the ceiling, covered with an access grate.

Anytime water is running anywhere in the house (faucet, shower, washing machine, doesn't matter), whoever is in the vicinity of the master bedroom or the basement bedroom can clearly hear the sound of moving water coming from where the PRV is located.

The PRV is a 1" as opposed to what I'm told is a more standard size (3/4"). We had it replaced in December (for an unrelated issue) so it's a new PRV and the water pressure is in the mid 60s inside the house (closer to 150 outside I believe).

Are there any creative solutions to get rid of (or minimize) the noise? It's loud enough to wake us up if someone on the other side of the house flushes a toilet int he middle of the night. Wasn't sure if we're stuck with it because of the 1" PRV or if there might be a different solution.

Thanks!
