When someone shuts the water off at the kitchen sink, the person in the bathroom hears the pipes near the shower make a noise. So we are assuming this is what they mean by water hammer. Where should this arrestor be placed? If we were to install a water hammer arrestor would we need to cut a hole in the drywall to attach the arrestor? We are on a concrete slab.
