Where is this located? Inside the house? Outside the house?

At the present, I am working on inside the house. Years ago I switched from gate valves on all my water connections(including many outside ones, to the barn/shop/for watering, etc.) to ball valves, as they leaked less and held up better. But I am still not satisfied with the connections from brass to pvc. I have two sources of water to the house, city(utility) water, and also lake water. So I use the ball valves as on/off valves. Now that I am finishing off the basement and covering/enclosing the area where all the pipes/valves converge, I need to make sure there are no slow drips.

Use threaded ball valves and put a PVC male thread adapter in each end..Be sure to use pipe dope on the threads.

you could also use a brass to cpvc fitting... the second product on the left would be the one. goes from a male mrass to a female non threaded cpvc. u used the female version for my dishwasher.
