Current propane heater may need to be replaced soon. Options are replace with same or go with heat pump model for twice the price but half the operating cost. Conventional electric and tankless not an option for various reasons. We are family of 4 here for the long run in central PA, water softener, basement location near furnace heat pump with oil backup. The dehumidifying aspect of the heat pump model would also be a nice added benefit but not a reason to switch by itself. I have read where the efficiency is great. What are your experiences with performance, quirks, longevity, cost savings, overall satisfaction? Thanks
