 o
utility tub

I would like to have a utility sink installed in the bottom floor of my split level. Unfortunately, it is on a slab but my laundry room is down there, as well as a bathroom with sink and toilet adjoining the wall to the laundry room. Is there any way to connect into the drain and have the hot/cold water supply installed? The washer/dryer take up one side of the room so there is no way to have a utility sink installed between the two units. Any way to make this work? Just to be clear, the bathroom and laundry room are separate rooms but share a wall.

RE: utility tub

Connecting supply lines is not a problem.
Connecting a drain is the question.

What is your location? This determines whether you are under IRC or UPC. Local codes also apply. Ask.

I wonder if both the IRC and the UPC codes allow a utility tub to be connected to the same P trap that the washing machine is connected to. Check into this.

Where I am, code allows me to connect a tub to the washer P trap.

Hope this helps you.
