Bathroom Fan

Posted by kwhoughton (My Page) on

I have replaced my bathroom fan. The old fan exhausted through 3" inch metal ducting. I have run 4" metal flex ducting to the "up duct" (from the attic floor to the roof outlet) which is 3" dia.. Can I replace this "up duct" with ABS pipe and/or ABS fittings? I guess I am really asking if ABS can be used as exhaust ban ducting?

Thank you.

Sure, you can use plastic pipe.
