Ispring RO system

Hi all,
I have installed a iSpring 75GPD 5-Stage Reverse Osmosis in my kitchen and it gives around 20 to 25 PPM TDS reading with input water of around 350 TDS (I have a water softener).
The water has a very light metallic smell (I am very sensitive, others at home don't smell it).
The water makes my tummy go for a toss (may be a PH issue) but others are OK with it. The system is in place for 6 months now.

Is the smell from the tank? I read that those tanks are cheap and may have a leak and can cause the water to smell? Is this a cause of concern? I am planning to move to a high end RO system from Kinetico.

Regards,
Edy
