pulling a sand point

Hi, I'll be pulling a 1.25" driven sand-point well this weekend. This is being done to replace a 8 year old point and fix a suction leak somewhere in the well side of the check valve.

Anyway I have plenty of hydrolic jacks available to help pull it, but how exactly do I "grip" the pipe to pull it out? Any advise? thanks!

Chain. Wrap it around the pipe 4-5 times and tie in loop for jack to grab.
