Water not hit enough out if tankless heater

Posted by mamasalvo (My Page) on

We have a seasonal cottage we just opened with an Aquastar LP tankless HWH. Pilot lit properly and burners are firing but the hot water is not very hot.
There does not appear to be a problem in the pipes, etc and water pressure is good. Tried the local plumber but it is the weekend so trying to troubleshoot myself. Unit is about 15 years old. any suggestions?

I don't know what model that is, but you should check the water temperature setting. (If I knew what model, I could tell you where to look).

Also, is there any chance that the water is mixing somewhere? Are all the other faucets closed?

Model is Aquastar Bosch 125B LP. All other faucets are closed
Thanx

Has the water heater been flushed on a regular basis?

We flush it out each winter as we shut down all water from late October until mid May. Thanks

Okay, on that heater are two controls: The Gas control is a slide bar - slide that to the right to 3 flames.

The temp control knob is under that - try starting at high setting (clockwise) and backing it off if too hot.

Thanx everyone. We actually discovered we had back pressure in the outdoor shower that we hadn't opened yet that was causing the problem. We are all good now. Thanx again....
