Need to raise my PH

Hello,
I am getting a sales pitch for a Calcite Neutralizer but have no idea if the unit they are recommending is correct.

My water parameters:

PH: 6.0
Iron: 0
Hardness: 2
TDS: 49
Chlorine: 0

We are on a well. About 10 GPM flow rate. (takes about 5-6 seconds to fill a gallon jug on the largest flow faucet

4 persons in the home and we have 4 baths (3 full).

They recommend a Neutralizer 7000-SXT Calcite 1.5 CF. Any advice? Should I add a sediment filter in line before the unit?

While the recommended neutralizer will certainly fix your pH problem, with such clean water, I would be hesitant to use a calcite neutralizer. It will add a significant amount of hardness to your water, making a softener desirable.

You may want to investigate using a soda ash neutralizer. These are typically used where pH is very low or TDS is quite high, but feeding a dilute soda ash solution could, in your case, solve your pH problem without creating a hardness problem.
