Shower Faucet/Showerhead installation

Posted by notaplumberbychoice (My Page) on

I found a really good deal on a shower faucet with showerhead and tub spout, as well as the valve. My question is, I don't want a tub spout in my shower. Is it possible simply not to use that part, or is the valve made to have to handle the spout? I am looking at a Danze Sirius Single Handle Pressure Balance Tub & Shower with Valve. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Yes you can use the valve without the tub spout. The link above in a Danze installation instruction that shows how to plug the valve tub spout connection.
