Full StoryHello All,
Well our water in the past few weeks has been getting harder, harder, and harder, saltier as well, it seems with every regeneration the water gets worse. Our General Ionics conditioner is setup to regenerate every 3 days. (so regen day 1, day 2, day 3, regen day 4) We bought our house in early 2009 and only have fed this unit salt.
Now I believe the unit is from 1990 (house built 1989) because a sticker on timer assembly says "Assembled by 1 0 1990" now our water has been fantastic up until now. And from what i can tell online is that the older GI units are great, the new ones, crap. I found a old Business card of a local GI place but the number what out of service and the GI places are WAY over in Ohio....
Because its a conditioner what is different to re-bedding it compared to a softener? If it was a regular softener I would have no trouble re-bedding it my self. But I don't really know what is in a Conditioner.
Thanks For all the help,
Joe
