We're renovating a house, and the contractor recommended a simple steel bath tub in the basement because it won't be used very much. We just wanted to make sure there was at least 1 tub in the house since we're making the upstairs bathroom into a shower stall only.

During the renovations the tub has become scratched, and it's too late to replace it. I know of places that can repair fiberglass tubs, but what would I do to repair/restore a steel tub to its original sheen?
