I have one of the old Mcpherson toilets and it has finally given up. I was wondering.. My sewage line is about 6 inches above the base of the toilet can I use a power assist toilet in lew of the saniflo or other ???

The answer to your question is "NO".

A power assist only assists in quickly raising the bowl water level up and through the bowls trapway to begin the flush acton. Once the liquid passes over the top of the bowls trapway everything is gravity flow from there.
