 o
minimum contact area for pvc coupling

What is the minimum contact area needed for a straight coupling on 2" pvc drain? I have a 2" pvc drain coming off the main stack; it splits into a y-fitting right off the stack. I want to remove the Y and run a straight section where the Y currently is. Only problem is there is only 1/2" length between the main stack fitting and the y-fitting. Is that enough length to attach a straight coupling?

It needs to go into the fitting until it hits the stop.
