| I have natural gas in my mobile home now. I would like to do half my appliances on gas and half on propane. Is this safe, legal, neither, or both?
The idea is that in a disaster, I would have always have propane. |

| You can't mix the two products together, but you could have dual systems. For example, the furnace could be served by a propane tank, and the hot water heater could be plumbed to your natural gas supply. My 2 cents, it's an unnecessary expense. Natural gas service is very reliable, so I think that if a disaster were big enough to knock out your natural gas supply you would probably have bigger problems than lack of heat. |
