TOILET H20 Shut Off Valve

HELLO People, The other day, I needed to shut off the water to the toilet tank, for some repairs. The handle and screw stem closed clockwise, BUT the water was running upon removing the flex line from it, and not just a trickle. I would simply remove it, and replace it with a new one. However, the valve inlet itself is hidden in the wall. To remove it would destroy the tile surrounding it. Therefore, I would like to dis-assemble it, and replace the missing, or warn parts. I believe the solid rubber stopper has dis-membered, or broken up.
I went on-line (Google search) to find a parts list for the valve, but came up empty. Apparently, nobody rebuilds them; Probally cheaper to just replace.
Well, "THAT'S IT FOLKS" Any, and ALL INPUT to secure the necessary replacement parts, Will be Greatly Appreciated. THANKS-TO-ALL, Nitrojc.

By removing the packing nut and then removing the valvestem, you should be able to replace the washer and reinstall. You should probably also use a strong light to ensure there are no old washer bits left in the valve body.

Be sure to turn off the main water to the house and drain all pipes above the toilet valve.

THANKS GUYS, Would either of you happen to have part number for the rubber washer, or know the size ?
Also, What size is the cap nut ? I was thinking "If I Had to replace the valve", by removing the cap nut, this would expose the threaded shaft. From here, I would use a reducer down to fit the new shut off valve inlet. Then cap the original (in the wall) outlet to tank. This in effect would be two valves in Series, and sure beats the Hell out of destroying the tile.
Next question ... Does anyone make a Reducer of that size, and if so where can I get It ?? Thanks Again, Nitrojc.

Just by a new valve (less than $10) and use it for parts.
