Recycle copper plumbing?

We are about to start a significant remodel and addition to a 2200 sq foot home, part of which will entail pulling out the existing copper plumbing and repiping the whole house with Pex.

I'm meeting with the demo company tomorrow to finalize the scope of work and am wondering if I should ask that the copper piping be given to me so I can recycle it. i dont know if it's really worth it so am curious, on a 2,200sf house, what this would amount to in terms of $? Is this like a $200 payoff or more like $1000? If $200 it wouldn't be worth it, but $1k definitely would be.

Just looking for ballpark estimate as I have no idea. Thanks.
