Crazy water faucet

So everytime I turn on the cold water faucet to my bathtub, I turn and turn then all of a sudden the water comes blasting out full force. This makes it impossible to adujust the water temp. Its only the cold and only at this faucet. What is going on? Is there just some air in that line?

Replace the internal washers in the faucet. If there were air in the line (which would be impossible as an outgoing situation) when you turn on the faucet the air and a little water would come shooting out of the faucet - basically, you would know air was in the line.
