Sometimes, I'm glad I didn't follow my instincts!
Comments (9)Well, maybe it will eventually get some leaves on it. Now that it's out of my face, it doesn't really bother me. And like yours, Ines, mine had only the little air roots all over it and the (formerly inactive) peduncles. I do cut the long leafless stems off my pubicalyx, after they are mature enough that it's obvious they didn't produce any peduncles. It's already so huge and in-the-way, I can't afford to let it take any more unnecessary space! Jo, I was disgusted with my reverse kerrii this spring because you could hardly see any variegation at ALL in the new leaves, so I whacked it back and took two short cuttings and put them in a "public" pot outside by my GH, figuring if they burnt to a crisp or died, at least I was making an effort to make it go in another direction. The two cuttings rooted quickly and I did lose one leaf on each, but then both are now putting out new growth with obvious variegation. AND the main plant put on a new growth point back towards the soil line that had more obvious variegation. I'll be very excited to bring in the two new cuttings and put them in with the old plant and see how they all look after a winter in the GH. Comments (8)The Bona mop cartridges were restyled in March and they are now refillable. So when you buy the mop, it does come with the hardwood cleaner (which can be used on any hard surface). However, once the cartridge is empty, you can refill it with anything you want. There is a useful purpose for a fine mist. You want it to be spread over a large area finely so not to saturate your surface. The Reveal might have enough of a fine mist to accomplish that...I don't know cuz I have never seen one spray out the liquid. The mist on my Bona is very fine so I'm happy with it. I did get a chance to compare the two different types of dusting heads sold by Bona and Rubbermaid (Reveal). Because they both used velcro to attach to my Bona mop, I used the Reveal one with the Bona. The Reveal one was larger but a bit harder to fit into smaller spaces. The Bona was an entirely different type material and very electrostatic. I thought after dusting all my laminate with both dusters, the Bona was slightly better as it picked up more dirt than the Reveal one. The only thing I have noticed now that the Bona cartridge is half empty is that it is starting to cave in. I called Bona and they admitted that the first plastic they used on the refillable cartridges was too thin and this happened. They are sending me a free cartridge to replace this cartridge so that it will not depress and can be easily refillable. I'd say that is great customer service!...See MoreWANTED: I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!!
Comments (28)I would be excited too upon receiving that wonderful swap package! The berry bowls from our local potteries look a bit different, but the purpose is the same. Here in NC ours look more like colanders with cut-outs instead of holes and there is a shallow saucer that the bowl sits in to contain the water. That cookbook looks verrrrr-y interesting! Comments (36)Well, Diana, you've just broken the poor "teddy bear"'s heart! See how dejected she is? Actually that's her usual pose, in the middle of the kitchen floor with her legs folded up underneath her like a camel. She is a goofball! And she's also as fat as a toad thanks to all of the treats that she's been getting lately (the vet says that she isn't...SHE insists that she isn't but I know the truth). She was delighted enough to give the box a big "snoof", that was treat enough for her. Plus she helped my son play with all of the bubblewrap :-). But thank you. She is very cute and very goofy and she makes us laugh a lot. She's a rescue rottie. Nina...See Morejuanital
