| Good theme! What is the back story on that building at Meers Kim? BTW, I just had a Meersburger a few weeks ago. Umm-mmmm! |

This was just up the road from the famous hamburger place. They have sunrise Easter service every year. That's about all I know. We went for the burgers. This is the wedding chapel. Wedding in progress so we couldn't go in.
This was the hour long line for a Meers burger.

| Ha. When we were there we 'only' had to wait about 15 minutes. But the equally good if not quite as famous indian wheat beer made up for the wait. ;) You haven't had a great burger if you haven't had one with 100% Longhorn beef. |

I took this in Louisville Ky, last week. It's by the Ohio River, don't know if it's a home, lighthouse, or what, but I liked it!

| Good topic! I don't know if mine are up to par with those already posted, but I'll start with an interesting part of a building. These window panes looked unremarkable until I put on my sunglasses. To photograph the same effect, I put my sunglasses on my camera. :-)
This is probably the most interesting building in my neck of the woods: an old octagonal one-room schoolhouse.
And I love the stonework at Yale:

| The south side of the Ohio river in Kentucky (bordering with Indiana) is a flood plain. That is a typical construction for a dwelling built in that flood plain. (There are not many of these.) During flood stage, you don't need the ladder; just step off the boat and onto the porch. |
