Just received one as a gift. I'm going to plant it with some trailing campanula and see how that works out.

Closer to you in Murphy, I'd imagine. I'd love a few of each if you don't mind. Maybe five or so seeds of the hibiscus, and a mix of your yellow iris. I've got a gazillion red spider lilies. I'm going to dig up a chunk that's wandered away from the bed a bit. It should have several good sized bulbs in it with tons of tiny bulbs mixed in. Anywhere from twenty to fifty bulbs. I'll dig them up and let you know exactly what's in there when we agree to meet so they're not out of the ground too long. They're dormant in summer instead of winter. Let me know what you think. :)

We had our first harvest a couple of days ago... 2 Galinas. Well, at least it's a start LOL! We should be getting some Sweet Thing Grapes by the end of the week: I can't believe the size of them... last year the biggest grape tomatoes we got were about the size of my pinkie fingertip. I can't wait to taste these. So far most of my "slicer" tomatoes have set fruit but it will be a while before any of them ripen. I've already lost 2 NAR's to BER :^( and that's my "problem child" plant anyway. There always has to be one, doesn't there?! But anyway, at least we have a start on the season. I doubt we'll have anything like what mewste has, though. Gracious, that's a LOT of 'maters!!! Have fun harvesting!

That's normal with any kind of tiles. It means they were fired in a different batch. A lot of glazes will take a slightly different appearance if they're fired just a little hotter or a little longer. It also might mean a little more or less glaze or a few grains of this and that more and less in the formula when mixing the glaze. If they're really really noticeable, or really bug you, you can send one of your field tiles to the maker and see if they can get a dead on match. If they don't stand out and it's one of those only you will even see the difference things, it's probably not worth the bother. If it's in between, you'll have to decide how long and how much you want to fuss over it. In general, the variations are what give hand made tile its character. At least your variations are between tiles. Some of my backsplash tiles came in pink on one end and green on the other because of temperature variation within the kiln. And I was picking up some plain white Dal tile for someone last week and the quarter round was a different shade than the field squares, for the same reason. But it's very slight.
