Any one have any advice, tips or ideas they would like to share on photographing pets? I have three dogs and would love to take their picture for a Christmas card. I guess I should add they are a Husky (1 year old) a Toy Poodle (7 years old) and a Jack Russell (7 years old). Am I dreaming of one photograph or should I just use three individual shots?
My best accidental tip, I was trying to photograph just the chair and the dogs got in every picture. "Hello, look how cute I am." If you have someone to help hold their attention and a good sit, stay. Of course it's ok if one is walking off or looking away. That's sort of what I expect dogs to do and it's funny.
I just read in Popular Photography that a guy puts plastic around his lens, then wraps bacon around it. He said the dogs watch him no matter how long it takes.
