Mixin' Mums

These Chrysanthemums are "stuck" in a dried Sedum flowerhead. There are a few blooms other than Mums mixed in....can you guess what they are?

Very pretty. A smorgashboard of color for the eyes.

    Asters, carnations, coneflowers?

    Thanks, all.

    RC,
    Yes, purple Asters.
    Carnations, no.
    Coneflowers, no.

    Clues:
The white flower in the upper left corner isn't a Mum.
Neither are the 7 small white ones in the center.

    Any more guesses?

    Beautiful mix...

I'll take a wild guess on the white ones...Primula (Upper)... the others maybe some kind of dahlia?

    Thanks Juanita and Konrad.

Juanita, sorry, not Primula or Dahlia.

    More clues:

The flower in the upper left corner is from a variety of cultivars that bloom either early in the Spring, or mid-Fall. (A perennial)

The 7 white ones in the center are only about 5/8" in diameter, and bloom from early Summer into Fall until frost kills them. (another Perennial)

Another hint for the "7 dwarfs" in the middle:

They a flowers of a medicinal herb with fern-type foliage;>))

I'd better be more careful to proof-read my typing!

(The 7 dwarfs ARE flowers of a medicinal herb...)

    Thanks, Lianne,
    Good guessing!
The white flower in the upper left corner is Anemone, 'Whirlwind'.

The 7 dwarfs are Tanacetum parthenium, 'Ultra Double White' (Feverview). They re-seed prolifically in my gardens.

Julie, your flowers are so gorgeous. You must be a Master Gardener. I'd love to see pictures of your gardens.

No, I am not a Master Gardener, but would like to take classes some day after I retire.
