| “Lazypup” Glad you liked the pictures of the train. You are right about it being a train that is operated as an excursion train from a museum. It is in Essex, CT. It is called "The Essex Steam Train & Riverboat Ride". I took the grand kids there last summer while they were out of school. We paid $3.00 extra for a seat in the open window car.. I never took this train in the winter months. We only took the train and did not go on the river boat..(But now I wish we did) The train travels along the Connecticut River and goes by Gillette Castle State Park in East Haddam ... The train takes you to the end of the line, turns around and drops you off at the River Boat. While there, it picks up the people from the boat and takes them back to the train station... I am posting two pictures of the River Boat. Also and I am posting a link about The Essex Steam Train below. “R Is For River Boat”
These pictures were taken in East Haddam, CT. These pictures were taken with a “Canon SX10 IS” camera. http://www.essexsteamtrain.com/ Have A Nice Day Linesman |
