in May on the Gunflint Trail, Grand Marais, MN. This is the gateway to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Still lots of beauty left.

| Those are beautiful photos, Joan. Always makes me sad when a fire destroys trees, but they say it is actually a necessary part of a healthy forest. Your photos show new growth coming back. The last photo of the pretty birch tree that somehow missed damage is very nice. |
