| Great shot! That is so cool.....Seeing just one is a rarity around here--I can't imagine encountering a family! Good theme, too. Here's one of my favorites:
and his mate (with an androgynous junco):

| Great pictures so far. What about potential birds? A Mallard drake. Mom and babies. Toulouse geese. A Red Breasted Grosbeak, I think. Ron |
|
| Love everyone's pics! I saw a blue heron in flight the other day, just for second. But it was a memorable second. The "potential birds" are great! I hunted up some more.... |

| Great shots lesmis...I always enjoy an Eagle photo....whats your location? |
|
| Thank you Crunchpa, we have way too many pics of eagles, our kids love to tease us about it, but it's just so cool to me to have eagles in our backyard! I'm located in southern Maryland, along the Chesapeake Bay. Kat :) |

| Sorry I didn't respond to the question sooner: The birds flocking around the fishing boat are frigatebirds, the ones perching over the outhouse are brown pelicans and the pretty little thing in the grass is a mourning dove. Kate |

| Can I play?? I am new to this forum, although I have been on GW for awhile. In an effort to learn how to take good pictures I came across this forum and have been lurking around looking at all the great pictures. Well, I can't remember for sure what kind of bird this is, but I believe it is an Egret of some sort. We saw it in Florida last spring. I think she's eagerly watching for the first crack in the egg :>) |
|
| That's a Great Egret and a great picture. :) Here's a juvie Green Heron Common Moorhen Tri-colored Heron Anhinga male Snowey Egret |

| What great photos, so much fun to look at such a nice variety! |
