Thanks Granite-Girl. I was completely guessing on the cabinet sizes! I should have included that I'm probably going with a CD French Door fridge. I read here with that configuration you usually load and unload behind you because of the double doors, so maybe I don't need the landing spot next to the fridge. I do like having lots of room around the cooktop to spread out. All new construction, so windows are where ever I want them! Thanks also Rhome. Found the thread with the pocket-door pantry...it came from you! There will be a prep sink on the island...just forgot to cut and paste. I love the idea of expanding the island toward the cooktop wall. Hadn't considered at all, but makes perfect sense. I can't shift any further toward the family room, and was concerned about usable seating. I'm also trying for some symmetry along the long wall, and I can get it with plan 3. Just wanted to make sure that poor sink and dishwasher didn't feel left out of the club! I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR EXPERT ADVICE :)

The picture marked version 2 I like the open hallway and stairs and bedroom placements with closets buffering the bathroom noise best. You are also able to get large furniture into the master bedroom. In the other unmarked version I'm not sure how you are going to get any large furniture in trying to turn that corner. In both though I think the master bath/closet could use some re-work. I don't like the access in the one marked version2 for the closet as you have to walk around from the bathroom through the master to get to the closet. However I'm not liking the other option either with two openings as it is wasting closet space. I'm thinking there has to be some other options available for the space too.

I wouldn't necessarily call it corruption, just laziness, complacency, and perhaps lack of supervision. I spent several years working in a treatment facility for juvenile offenders. Although it was not secure (meaning locked), it was a residential facility and kids were committed there against their will. There were incredibly strict protocols in place to protect both the residents and the surrounding community. Some of these boys were so intelligent and engaging; I'm not surprised that Mitchell got taken in by one of them. Sociopaths are incredibly good at manipulating people.
